The existing residence was closed off from the Bay. We cut a 12 foot wide stair into the plinth of the elevated house to provide access to the waterfront. A large shaded outdoor living room was created over the stair to extend the house to the outdoors.

An office mezzanine was added in an existing two story space. The mezzanine is reached by a 30 foot long glass bridge and an open wood stair. The addition is angled both in plan and in section to open up to the bay.
