Choucard Residence
Sarasota, FL | 2007

Located in a deed restricted neighborhood, the design was required to include tile roofs, a stucco finish, and punched openings. In our proposal, only the street elevation complies with the local restrictions.

As such, the street elevation will serve as a mask to help a modern residence appease its neighbors. The roof is single pitched to the North to open up the house to the rear yard.

The northern rear elevation is extensively glazed to take full advantage of both the exposure and the views to a mature grand oak. The pool space and the live oak space are at opposite corners of the site extending the perceived dimension of the property
