The two storey addition matches the pitch of the existing house to provide an uninterrupted view of the dense bamboo clusters planted along the street.

Together the new and the old will form two courtyards; a formal parking court, and an informal pool yard. The sides of the addition facing the parking court will be clad in stone, while the rest of the house will be sheathed in zinc.

The addition will house a currator's studio and the owner's extensive art collection.
